        Welcome

Facilities

Include beautifully presented and well resourced classrooms with air conditioning, adjustable desks and large display areas.

We have wide open learning areas for group interactions, attractive assembly hall; commercial kitchen, brand new double tennis courts and basketball court, netball court, new oval, extensive shaded playground area and a brand new networked computer centre.

The school is currently involved in an extensive building program with Government support. In 2004 we opened another new classroom and a new science lab. We commenced the building of a Technology centre, classroom and new toilet block in March 2005. This was our largest building project undertaken yet. It was completed ready for the beginning of the 2006 school year. In 2005 we have also completed a lot of landscaping of the rear of the property. Native trees planted along the southern boundary of the property are growing rapidly. We are planning to plant more native trees in upcoming working bees to further beautify the school. A recent, exciting addition to the school is the complete update of our school computer system. In 2005 our entire existing computer system was replaced with the very latest in computer technology at the time. Each computer had 17 inch LCD screens! In April 2006 we completed the construction of our first staff room, much to the delight of our staff!

In 2007, our building project saw the construction of another three classrooms. One of these rooms being a Food Technology centre for our secondary students. The other two rooms became primary classrooms. This project was completed ready for the beginning of the 2008 school year.

In 2010, we welcomed 20 new iMacs for our secondary computer lab, served with all the latest industry software and a 42 inch LCD screen for class use. Our students are learning photography and photoshop manipulation with Adobe CS5 suite, including Photoshop, Indesign, Flash, etc, as well as the usual iLife, Comic Life, Microsoft suite and so much more.

In 2011 we introduced class sets of Apple's iPad to the Primary School and iPad-II's in the Secondary College to increase our ICT assessibility across the entire school, from Prep to VCE. We launched an iPad/laptop policy for students in Year 9-12 beginning Term 2,2011. Every classroom has also been furnished with HD Large screen Plasma TVs and/or Interactive Whiteboards. Every teacher in the school owns an iPad which connects directly to the TV's and whiteboards.

Major building programs are underway for 2011. The biggest project yet that the College has undertaken commenced in January, 2010. The project included a fully equipped gymnasium and a community centre, which was completed end of 2010. We have built four new classrooms and a new library in 2011. Exciting times at HCC!

There are more building/expanding projects coming up! Stay tuned.....
