AFTER SCHOOL CARE COORDINATOR
Heatherton Christian College seeks applications from committed Christians, for the position of after school care coordinator. The successful applicant must hold,
or be willing to commit to training in, an appropriate qualification for this position. We are seeking an enthusiastic team player, who enjoys working with primary aged children. The hours are Monday-Friday during the school term, 3pm-6pm. It is possible
that we may consider a job share arrangement if there is more than one suitable applicant.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Casual Position: After School Care Coordinator (ASCC)
Hours of work: The ASC program runs from 3:00 pm until no later than 6:00 pm during term time.
The ASCC is required to commence from 3:00 pm to setup and is required to stay until the last child is collected and the environment is left clean and tidy.
Responsible to: The Principal
Salary & Conditions: The ASCC is paid on an hourly rate as directed and in consultation with school management.
Payroll is processed fortnightly.
Duty Statement: The Coordinator runs the day to day After School Care program.
Specific Responsibilities:
To supervise the children at all times, ensuring their well being and safety.
To recognise needs of children at different stages of development.
To plan a stimulating and engaging program.
To check the program’s equipment and make sure it is adequate before the program starts. Equipment should be varied enough to offer a stimulating program.
To treat all children with dignity and respect.
To work with other members of the staff as a team.
To make sure staff and children leave the location clean and tidy each day.
To ensure all children are signed in and are signed out by an authorised parent or nominated person.

Purchase supplies for the ASC program that will be reimbursed via petty cash system or payroll.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant must hold the relevant qualification. A list of the relevant qualifications may be found by clicking on this link HERE.
Alternatively, the applicant must be prepared to undertake training in one of the listed qualifications.
The ASCC must have a current First Aid Certificate and Working With Children Check.
