We have wide open learning areas for group interactions, attractive assembly hall; commercial kitchen, brand new double tennis courts and basketball court, netball court, new oval, extensive shaded playground area and a brand new networked computer centre.

The school is currently involved in an extensive building program with Government support. In 2004 we opened another new classroom and a new science lab. We commenced the building of a Technology centre, classroom and new toilet block in March 2005. This was our largest building project undertaken yet. It was completed ready for the beginning of the 2006 school year. In 2005 we have also completed a lot of landscaping of the rear of the property. Native trees planted along the southern boundary of the property are growing rapidly. We are planning to plant more native trees in upcoming working bees to further beautify the school. A recent, exciting addition to the school is the complete update of our school computer system. In 2005 our entire existing computer system was replaced with the very latest in computer technology. Each computer has 17 inch LCD screens!

In April 2006 we completed the construction of our first staff room, much to the delight of our staff!

Our latest building project is the construction of another three classrooms. One of these rooms will be fitted out as a Food Technology centre for our secondary students. The other two rooms will be primary classrooms. This project was completed ready for the beginning of the 2008 school year.

Major building programs are underway for 2009. The biggest project yet that the College has undertaken commenced in January, 2010. The project includes a fully equipped gymnasium and a community centre. We are also building four new classrooms and a new library in 2010. Exciting times at HCC!

In 2009 we established a VCE study centre.  The students love having their own 'space' to utilise during study periods and lunch breaks. They have a microwave, refrigerator, toaster and a coffee machine!

 
VCE students also enjoy a Formal Dinner event each year!
