About Grade 4, 2010

Photo to come

The Fabulous Fours, 2010!

We start everyday with a devotion, having a discussion, acknowledging God and seeking His help to guide us through the day. This great start to the day inspires us to complete our tasks to the best of our ability. Everyone is encouraged to participate in our times with God. Some read the Bible / devotion whilst others pray and share their perspectives of our daily reading.

Grade 4 is an incredible group of children who arrive at school filled with life, enthusiasm to learn and a ready smile, willing to have a go at the day ahead. Each child has their own God given talents and abilities. This makes learning fun as we all contribute to our class discussions, growing academically, socially, physically and spiritually.

This term we are studying what erosion and weathering is and the effects that they have on the earth’s surface. This unit will include the study of landforms and how they have changed through erosion and will hopefully include an excursion to see some of these landforms.

Our class is a very healthy and active one and especially enjoys the extra sport activities that we earn by completing our tasks on time and to the best of our abilities. We enjoy our ten o’ clock fruit break everyday, otherwise known as our “Brainfood”.

Some of our other favourite activities we like to do at school include art, music, maths and of course, recess and lunch! We are encouraged to be inclusive in our playtimes and sensible at all times.

We are looking forward to a great year ahead as we learn and grow together!
