At Heatherton Christian College the Grade 5’s are learning and having fun. Our program includes a variety of engaging and practical lessons in Mathematics, Literacy, Science, Geography, History etc. We are proud of our classroom and our topic displays. As part of our exciting Integrated Studies curriculum the students will be studying Earth and Space, Australian History and Landmarks. An exciting addition to our program this year is the use of iPads and Interactive Whiteboard ‘Clickers’ in the classroom. The students will be using iPads and ‘Clickers’ for project research, creating presentations, quizzes etc.

An important part of Grade 5 is committing our day to God every morning with a devotion time. During this time the students are encouraged to pray for each other and the school community. Students also have the opportunity to lead and prepare devotions in small groups. We often spend time singing praise to God as well.  

It’s an honour to teach such a wonderful group of students this year. I am looking forward to helping them grow spiritually, academically and socially.
