To find the best apps available, talk to other people who
can recommend you their apps, and also goggle the internet using keywords like "best ipad apps for education,
music, productivity..."
As parents, you only need to buy an app once from iTunes on
your own iTunes account. You are then able to dowload it into your children's iPads or iPods. You
will need to have an iTunes account with credit to purchase apps from iTunes. You may use your credit card
online by opening an account with PayPal (the safest way to buy online); or you can just purchase iTune-cards anywhere (supermarkets, shops) and use this as credit.
We will try to formulate a list of recommended student apps below. Please email me apps you have found useful and recommend.
The above apps are great resources on what apps to buy or download
free. They recommend the best apps for every category. Appshopper allows you to create a wishlist of apps you
want to get. That way, your children can make a wish list and you can view and approve/disapprove at
will.
The apps above are excellent student apps. I also highly recommend
DROPBOX, EVERNOTE, GARAGEBAND, iMOVIE, iBOOKS, GOGGLE EARTH, SKETCHBOOK-PRO, ARTRAGE, PAPRIKA, a Bible of your
choice....(I like the BLB Bible), a Dictionary and Thesaurus of your choice, BrainPOP, ABCiView, FLUD
News,...
There are many other apps that are
excellent for music, cooking, photography, art, history, etc. You will find plenty of great websites
which focus on recommendations However, the apps above will get you started! Have
fun!
