About Year 8, 2010
In Year 8, we continue to build on the successful foundations laid in Year 7 and Primary school.
Students are encouraged to do their best in their academic work and in the development of their unique talents and
Godly character.
In year 8 we aspire to see students:
- Continuing the development of good habits in classroom study,
- Organising their time effectively and completing all work and homework on time and to a high quality,
- Developing strong and supportive relationships with their teachers and peers.
- Increasing their effectiveness in being able to work positively with others,
- Involving themselves in all areas of school life and,
- Developing their personal faith and an understanding of being a part of a Christian Community
A wide range of activities and opportunities are available to them to assist in their journey through
adolescence and building of Godly character. These include;
Taking part in classroom discussions and activities, House and Interschool sport competitions, daily
Homeroom devotions, prayer groups, peer support, SRC, weekly College “Chapel”, Chapel band, the Year 7 & 8
camp, numerous academic competitions and excursions, music lessons.
